Helmed by Nisha Pahuja, a director hailing from New Delhi known for “The World Before Her,” the film spans 127 minutes and follows Ranjit, a Jharkhand farmer, on a heart-wrenching journey as he seeks societal change following the gang rape of his 13-year-old daughter.
Coping with the loss of her fiance, Mira Ray sends a series of romantic texts to his old cellphone number, not realizing it was reassigned to journalist Rob Burns. Rob becomes captivated by the honesty of her words in the beautifully constructed texts. When he’s assigned to write a profile of superstar Celine Dion, he enlists her help to figure out how to meet Mira in person — and win her heart.
The story revolves around Nadia (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) and Mason Kane (Richard Madden) who are the typical steamy couple trying to fight against the world where the woman is a work focused go get it kinda’ girl and the man just sways around her; with a jawline though and in a suit though.
Citadel is a six-episode series that premieres on Prime Video on April 28 with the first two episodes. (A new episode will debut every Friday.) Madden and Chopra Jonas play Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, respectively; they’re former members of the independent spy agency Citadel, which was brought down by a crime syndicate called Manticore. Eight years later, Mason and Nadia have no memory of their time at Citadel and lead anonymous lives as totally different people — until their old colleague Bernard (Stanley Tucci) recruits them once more.
