THE OFFICE : JUST A VERSION OF THE AMERICAN SERIES

So, one of the most fundamental lessons in any high school education is avoiding plagiarism. Unfortunately, the creators of the Indian version of The Office missed out on that memo. KANAN GILL: YOURS SINCERELY IS ALL ABOUT INDIA Vs THE WEST

Kanan Gill is an Indian comedian best known for Comicstaan and his YouTube presence. He returns to the comedy scene with his special “Yours Sincerely, Kanan Gill.” It begins with a dragged out description of Indian vs Western culture which is supposed to be self-deprecatingly funny but sounds kind of like that cringey uncle who thinks he’s cool because he lives in the US but actually only hangs out with Indians.

Vir has been patient enough to delay the start , chitchatting with the audience, waiting for the people to settle in but did lose his patience when a good 30 minutes into the show, a person in the absolute front row disturbs his flow and decided to be combative towards Vir.

However removed from commercial sense they may be, they look down upon the commercialization of the art form they so revere and venerate.

This narrative pits the pedantic practices against the ease of the commercial success, should the talent find its way to its audience.
