SHARVARI OPENS UP ABOUT HER JOURNEY, CHALLENGES AND UPCOMING ACTION FILM WITH ALIA BHATT

Rising star Sharvari is making significant waves in the Indian film industry. In an exclusive interview with dayseize.live, the talented actress opened up about her journey from modeling to acting, the challenges of her most demanding roles, and her exciting upcoming projects, including an action-packed film alongside Alia Bhatt.

From Chemistry Labs to the Silver Screen

Sharvari’s path to stardom is as unconventional as it is inspiring. Hailing from a non-film background, she was set to pursue civil engineering, following in the footsteps of her architect and designer parents. However, a spontaneous decision in college changed the course of her life.

“I participated in the Fresh Face contest by Times of India purely because I just wanted to get out of my chemistry lab class,” Sharvari recalled with a laugh. “I had to dance for like a minute, and I said that I’m getting free attendance, might as well.”

At just 16, she won the title in 2014, and her photos began appearing in newspapers. “That’s where I got my first audition call, and that’s where my journey truly began,” she said.

Stepping into Iconic Shoes

Sharvari made her Bollywood debut with the much-anticipated “Bunty Aur Babli 2,” sharing the screen with industry veterans Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan. “I never thought that my first film would be with them,” she admitted. “These were just names for me that I had watched on the big screen, fallen in love with, and someday wanted to be an actor just like them.”

Working alongside such seasoned actors could have been daunting, but Sharvari embraced the experience. “It came with great responsibility, but it was a lot of fun because they are incredible people and have a lot of fun on set,” she shared.

Embracing Challenging Roles

Her role in the film “Veda” marked a significant milestone in her career, pushing her boundaries both physically and emotionally. “‘Veda’ has definitely been the most challenging role,” Sharvari said. “The dialect was Rajasthani, completely different from the language I speak at home, which is Marathi. I really had to do a lot of research and work with my dialect coach to get that right.”

The film also required her to portray a student boxer. “Boxing was extremely strenuous. I had never done that before, so learning a completely new sport was absolutely challenging,” she explained. “It had a very emotional core, so those things really put up a good challenge.”

Joining the YRF Talent Pool

Being part of the prestigious Yash Raj Films (YRF) talent pool has been a significant boost for Sharvari’s career. “It’s definitely a huge privilege,” she acknowledged. “For actors who are not from the industry, having a support system like Yash Raj helps you navigate through the industry. It gives you sounding boards, a team that you can lean on, and a lot of support.”

A Peek into the Future

Sharvari is currently working on an exciting new project titled “Alpha,” an action film in the YRF Spy Universe, co-starring Alia Bhatt. The film is particularly noteworthy as it features two women leading an action-packed narrative.

“It’s such an incredible time to be an actor because there’s a film that gets made with two women leading, all about action,” Sharvari enthused. “It’s a film that’s being made for the first time, one of its kind, and I really, really hope that we’re able to make quite a kick-ass film.”

Beyond the Camera

When she’s not on set, Sharvari enjoys a quiet life at home. “I’m quite a homebody. I love spending time with my pet dog, Miso,” she shared. “I love spending time with my school friends; they’re a solid bunch, and we meet quite often.”

Her mother remains her biggest inspiration. “She has such big dreams for all her children, and she’s really the wind beneath my wings,” Sharvari said affectionately.

Dream Roles and Genres

Sharvari has her sights set on working with renowned director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and has a passion for period films and comedies. “My dream role is to be in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film. It’s an absolute dream for me,” she revealed. “I really hope that I’m able to portray characters from different walks of life.”

A Heartfelt Message to Fans

Expressing her gratitude, Sharvari said, “I’m just so grateful and thankful for the year that I’ve had and the kind of love and support that I have received from people. It’s truly been because of the audiences that they’ve showered so much love on me for my films, be it on Instagram, by going to the theatres and watching it, or even just creating reels on the songs that I’ve released this year. That’s just really, really sweet and very heartfelt, so I just want to say thank you.”

As Sharvari continues to carve her niche in the industry, audiences eagerly await her upcoming projects, excited to see her take on new challenges and bring diverse characters to life.
