Ajay Devgn directs and stars in the new movie Bholaa with Tabu.
Bholaa is the Hindi remake of the 2019 Tamil movie Kaithi. The movie stars Karthi in the lead role, along with Narain, Arjun Das, Harish Uthaman, George Maryan and Dheena in pivotal roles.
In the film, a recently released prisoner races against time to drive poisoned cops to a hospital in exchange for meeting his daughter, while evading criminals chasing him.
In an interview with Variety, Ajay Devgn said, ” “We are keeping the basic storyline similar, obviously that’s the reason you make a remake, because we like the storyline. We’ve altered a lot of characters, a little bit of the screenplay, and the characteristics of people. The drama has changed in a way, the emotions have changed – somewhere I would say enhanced, more underlined,”

“Bholaa” will release in 3D, Imax and 4DX versions worldwide. “It’s a big scale film, it’s an action film, and the kind of visuals and action we have, we thought that we’d enhance the whole drama and action sequences and the tension,” Devgn said about the film, which is shot by Aseem Bajaj. “The atmosphere and the surroundings and action we’ve created is something which I don’t think people have seen much of.”
“Kaithi” is part of the Vikram universe, which includes “Vikram” (1986) and “Vikram” (2022). “‘Bholaa’ ends at a note where you will feel that there is going to be a part two, it would not be a similar part two like ‘Vikram,’ or an adaptation. Because we will be bringing in different kinds of new characters. So yes, it will be a continuation, that’s the approach to it,” Devgn said.
