Netflix, the American streaming platform, will premiere Tooth Pari: When Love Bites, a new series starring Shantanu Maheshwari and Tanya Maniktala. Produced by Endemol Shine India and created and directed by Pratim Dasgupta, the show will stream on 20 April.

Described as “A rebellious vampire with a broken tooth falls for a shy dentist on the streets of Kolkata but will human and mystical forces keep them apart?”

Shantanu plays dentist Dr Roy on the show, while Tanya portrays the role of Rumi, a vampire who has lost one of her fangs. She comes to Dr Roy for help. Revathy plays Luna Luka, a vampire slayer.

The rest of the cast includes Sikander Kher as sub-inspector Kartik and Tillotama Shome as Meera and Saswata as David. While Meera’s character is described as “poetry in motion”, the D in David stands for “Darinda who is full of stories”.
