“I wish we could be together; I don’t want any of the seven missing,” a dialogue from the trailer of K Drama “Youth” unveiled at Korea Expo in Paris is viral for more than one reason.
Despite the extended hiatus of K-pop groups, BTS has a series of upcoming projects in the pipeline. From solo debuts, fan meetings, and documentaries premiering in cinemas to movie soundtracks and an upcoming memoir book, the South Korean septet seems to have no plans of taking a break. The upcoming drama series will delve into the Bangtan Universe storyline that has been mapped throughout various BTS projects, including the Save Me webtoon, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life album trilogy, BTS Universe Story, and The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: The Notes books.
Although the series won’t feature the group members, it will be centered around the same storyline. Initially set to release in the latter half of 2020, the show faced production issues and was repeatedly delayed.
