An Ni, an exceptional student from a distinguished law school, lands in the enigmatic Fourth Prosecutor’s Department upon entering the Procuratorate. Confronted with an array of complex and novel cybercrime cases, she, along with her prosecutor peers, decipher criminal evidence with precision. Manifesting their prosecutorial acumen, they collaborate closely with He Luyuan, the criminal police captain, embarking on an international hunt that tests their endurance.
Through meticulous investigation, they unearth the truth, ensuring each concealed criminal suspect is brought to justice. An Ni’s remarkable court prosecution skills even prompt a guilty plea from a suspect, showcasing the breadth of professionalism exhibited by female public prosecutors in this modern era.
The prosecution gets a string of interconnected cases where through very clever ways, a gang is using web games, and apps to provide loans at ridiculously easy terms to people who need it. While the modus operandi is very slick, somehow all of this leads back to the same game publisher.
The cop and the prosecutor join hands in investigating the various leads.
So far, the show is slow, with very stark camera work, and the investigations are not paced well. Dilraba, as a prosecutor, is not entirely convincing and there seems to be no chemistry between her character and that of Tong Da Wei.
