Star Cast: Janhvi Kapoor, Deepak Dobriyal, Sahil Mehta, Mita Vashisht, Jaswant Singh Dalal, Sushant Singh

Jaya Kumari ( Jerry)’s lives with her mom ( Meeta Vashisht) and sister. To help the family financially, she picks up a unconventional job of being a massage therapist. However, when things spiral out of control when her mother is diagnosed with lung cancer and to help assuage the financial crisis she becomes a drug courier.
Adapted from Kolamaavu Kokila, a Telugu film that starred Nayanthara, Good Luck Jerry is definitely an improvement of the OG.
Original story is by Nelson Dilipkumar and adapted by Pankaj Matta, Jerry seems to have been pushed into a world where she does not belong.
But after she is almost caught by a cop, Jerry decides to give up on the profession. Her boss Timmy (Jaswant Singh Dalal), who is head over heels for her, refuses to let her go. In her attempt to escape the drug world, her family gets involved. To save her family, Timmy’s boss (played by Sushant Singh) orders her to supply 100 kilos of drugs to a customer.
After their initial shock, Jerry’s sick mom decides that they do not have a way out and may have to end up helping Jerry in delivering the coke.
The best part about Good Luck Jerry is its extremely talented cast, who know how to carry a comedy.
Every crazy character is hilariously assembled. Timmy’s trigger-happy sidekick, Jigar (Sahil Mehta), a conceited and loud Rinku (Deepak Dobriyal), who’s in love with Jerry, an outlandish cocaine distributor, Malik (Saurabh Sachdeva), the druglord, Daler (Sushant Singh), Sarbati and her neighbour, Anil (Neeraj Sood) are all delightful.

Janhvi Kapoor, who plays Jerry is fabulous. But the most delightful of them all is Deepak Dobriyal’s Rinku with his multicolored hair and shiny golden shoes.
Director Siddharth Sen keeps the narrative on point, and carries the story through its end, keeping in mind the audience triggers.
Parag Chhabra’s soundtrack fits into the narrative well, from the dance number, Mor Mor, to Jogan and Paracetamol or the very bihari-ish Jhand Ba.
Another factor that works for Good Luck Jerry’s is the pace and editing. Given the numerous subplots that open up along the way and it features several characters, but the momentum of the story does not disappoint.
On the whole, a good Friday night binge. Deepak Dobriyal wins.
