THE MEAT AND THE POTATOES

What will happen when their significant others come to know about them or when the priorities of their life change?
IN THE KNOW
Deepika Padukone performs her Alisha with the right amount of emotion as as a conflicted person, struggling between the memories of her mother’s tragic death, her aspirationswith her yoga startup, and the final realisation that all the men in her life have eventually let her down, including her father.exactly how stuck her own mother was.Her mother’s suicide haunts her.
As her boyfriend Karan lies to her about his book and continues to live off her, she continues to compromise with her choices till she remembers. She breaks her engagement with him.
Naseeruddin Shah with his short, powerful role is highly impactful..Rajat Kapoor is brilliant.in his portrayal as Zain’s business partner Sameer.
Chaturvedi as the polished, ambitious Zain is perfectly cast. As his Zain become conflicted between his ambition and feelings for Alisha, he makes choices of his own.
This is a movie for mature audiences and deals with human emotions as people effectuate choices when faced with conflicts and priorities.
People are judgemental about the choices of others till they are confronted with situations that compel them to make choices that they thought they would never be okay with making.
Ananya Pandey and Dhairya Karwa turn up impressive performances.
