BLUF: The youth of Mumbai, high on drugs need help from Radhe, a suspended cop who has been called in to clean up the city. Randeep Hooda is the new bad boy in the city who Radhe is supposed to clean up against.
THE MEAT AND THE POTATOES:
Radhe is an encounter with experience of 10 years of 97 encounters and 23 transfers in his name. In his comeback avatar, he kicks butt by beating up the bad guys and saving lives while finding time to flirt with girls half his age -in this case with boss’ sister Diya ( Disha Patani)
IN THE ZONE/ FWAR: This Prabhu Deva commercial action thriller is entertaining in parts, though clichéd too. The scenes in which confrontations between Salman and Randeep are filmed are the ones to really look out for. The action direction by Myeonghaeng and Anbariv is commendable. Disha Patani adds glamor to the sequences but she also at times reduces the urgency of the plot at times especially because the chemistry between the leads is so lacking.. The tracks and the scores are not very hummable despite the hummable title tracks and the Dil De Diya song featuring Jacqueline Fernandez (by Himesh Reshammiya).
