FITTRAT: RACY, BOLD AND ON IT

Fittrat on altbalaji

CAST: Krystle D’Souza, Aditya Seal and Anushka Ranjan

DIRECTOR: Baljit Singh Chaddha

Fittrat is a mixed bag. Some relationships and characters evolve well, but some are left loose.

It is a story about an ambitious, smart girl; who figures out a lot earlier than usual in life that money and status buy everything else. Her deepest desire is to marry rich, so she has access to her dreams.

The real delight in the plot is the father-daughter relationship between Tarini and her Art teacher, father. They, because of his vocation of teaching in a high-end Mussoorie boarding school. Tarini Bisht (Krystle D’Souza) accesses the lifestyle of the rich and the famous because of the friends she makes while in school.

Amrita Sareen (Anuskha Ranjan), her closest friend, the daughter of Delhi elite, and Tarini’s best friend since childhood is someone who accepts her without any reservations for who she is.

When they grow up, Tarini visits Amrita intending to marry someone rich and ends up getting entangled in a love triangle, when Amrita’s fiancee Veer Shergill (Aditya Seal) ends up falling for her.

The plot is racy, bold, and cinematography very striking. The quality of the series is excellent in its portrayal of complicated emotions. The actors are all good looking, making the entire canvas easy on the eye.

Aditya Seal stands out as a performer and looks every inch of the passionate desire-riddled character he is playing. It helps that he looks so intense, sexy, and smoking hot.

Krystle D’Souza commands her role, and Anushka Ranjan provides a perfect foil to the plot with her presence.

What stands out in terms of scenes to remember are the emotional conflicts between the characters and the portrayal of raw ambition, passion, and jealousy in the chemistry between them.

Santosh Singh has excelled in portraying the slow cooking of passion in each frame, and the rendering of chemistry is quite masterful.
