KEHNE KO HAMSAFAR HAIN S 3- RONIT ROY IS HOLY GAUCAMOLE

Ronit Roy; Mona Singh; Gurdeep Kohli

DIRECTOR: Anil V Kumar; Kapil Sharma

Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain

High on human emotions, the intricate lives of a man, his ex-wife, two daughters from the ex and new wife and the unraveling and recreation of equations. We have watched the entire two seasons and the narrative is easy and human. Portrayed superbly by seasoned actors, Ronit Roy, @ronitboseroy Gurdeep Kohli and Mona Singh @monajsingh as well as a very restrained Apoorva Agnihotri , there is nothing wanting in the characterization of the protagonists and the where they are in their journeys.

While the first season unravels the marriage and creates the new equations, it also creates a strong characterization of each equation and the changes as the relationships develop and re-establish.

The complexity of such extended relationships are beautifully portrayed and treated with maturity. The characters are all shades of grey like we are and the story is engaging in its frames. Some bloopers.

The first half of Season 2 looks like a shady advertisement for Qatar National Tourism authority. Qatar is a desert and has “NEVER” had beautiful weather or social promiscuity of people being allowed to show PDA on the streets; however modern or opulent it may seem. This forced advertising seems quite disingenuous.

Apart from that, the relationships are adequately portrayed in all their complexity. Most often people judge others in situations they have never been in. It is only when you yourself face the entirety of something similar will you start to understand why people behaved in a certain manner. I guess that hold true in life for most of us. However socially forward may we be; we hold biases close to our hearts and sometimes it takes for us to be confronted with situations to decide if these biases are worth the limitations we place on our lives.

Season 3

First impressions – Kehne ko Humsafar Hain 3 is a ball hit out of the park! Totally rocks in the twists in the story, the dynamics between the complicated characters, the expectations and the disappointments and the evolution of characters as circumstances demand of them! None of them seem superficially motivated or suddenly devolved. And that fluidity might be the reason why we sat in rapt attention through bingeing the season!

Another visual that kept us glued was the hot, sexy bearded, macho avatar of Ronit Roy! HOLY GUACAMOLE! He looks ultra hot in his biker dude incarnation. Had to say it loud.

The characters are continuously evolving and the sub-plots fill into their respective pockets with easy elegance! Gurdip Punjj, Apoorva Agnihotri, Mona Singh are great!

It’s the interfering girl friends that kinda start getting on the nerves after a while! I guess the continuous theme of all desi stories is how people easily intrude into other people’s personal lives in the name of “being concerned”. They not only give unsolicited advice but also force other people to do their bidding.

And the other people speciously follow those persuasions. Those scenes became extremely unbearable to watch. I guess personal space is still in issue to deal with in desi modern society. We get that Indian society has evolved in a lot of ways and we clearly see a lot of congruence in how we understand the family entanglements but the nosey friends and relatives business is a bit bizarre and too constant to be comfortable.

On the whole, amazingly engaging fare! We can’t wait for Season 4! (please take care of the nosey buttinkys) (And a skip button on the 2-3 min of credits per episode)

If you have been watching the earlier seasons of this series, you won’t expect the sudden conversion to epic that this season has bought about!

This is when the characters become plausibly complicated, situations more convoluted, narrative more sophisticated. But the story just takes the tangled web of characters and relationships and creates an intricate superlative chronicle for the climax.

Without spilling the beans on the surprise crescendo, let’s just say that if you haven’t watched it yet, find time to do it soon! It’s a new age story of relationships that are entangled, aspirations that are ambitious and outcomes that are tentative.

The performances are superb, the chemistry is sensational and as we have said before – we fell in love with @ronitboseroy in his macho avatar! @monajsingh is outstanding (except when she sings), @gurdippunjj is splendid in her role of an older woman married to a younger man and dealing with the societal oversight of her marriage. We wish @apurvaagnihotri02 could find a meatier role to play here! #kehnekohumsafarhain3 #review #sadeyhuetamatarreviews #sadeyhuetamatar #altbalaji #hindiwebseries #bollywoodactors #bollywoodwebseries #streamingshow
