Danish Khan, who heads Sony Television in India had the foresight and the vision to present real feminist stories and not be afraid to experiment with his female protagonists. He did not care about the ratings when it came to ensuring that the right story was told.
Uday Shankar also wanted to make the same changes in Star Plus says Nilanjana.
But it is not only about the show makers and writers- what about the audience? Why is the audience not watching the shows that are presenting realistic plots?
The responsibility also lies with the audience to be brave to be a part of the change they want to see.
