Gal Gadot is transitioning from the realm of superheroes to the world of espionage in the exhilarating first trailer for the international spy thriller, “Heart of Stone.”
Gadot, along with fellow stars Jamie Dornan and Alia Bhatt, made an appearance at Netflix’s Tudum fan festival in São Paulo, Brazil, where they introduced the film’s debut trailer. The snippets showcased are laden with pulse-racing stunts, including a scene where Gadot’s character, Rachel Stone — an intelligence agent serving a clandestine global organization dedicated to maintaining peace — takes a skydiving plunge from an astounding altitude.
Stone’s unflinching resolve and her penchant for high-octane exploits are given context when her superior, played by Sophie Okonedo, reminds her, “You know what you signed up for. No friends, no relationships… What we do is too important. When governments fail, the only thing left is the Charter.”

Stone, portrayed by Gadot, and Parker, played by Dornan, are part of the organization’s elite cadre of agents. These individuals possess no political biases or national loyalties and are characterized as banding together to maintain global harmony amid geopolitical turmoil.
The plot takes a sharp turn when a hacker named Keya Dhawan, played by Bollywood sensation Alia Bhatt in her inaugural Hollywood venture, pilfers the agency’s most prized and perilous asset – a technological core that is the linchpin of the Charter’s authority, essentially its “heart”. In response, Stone embarks on an adrenaline-fueled, worldwide quest to both salvage the day and exonerate herself.
“Heart or no heart, I’m coming for you,” Gadot fiercely warns over a cell phone, as she throws down the gauntlet to Bhatt’s character.
Helmed by Tom Harper with a screenplay penned by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder, the electrifying trailer is replete with high-octane sequences, such as a motorcycle pursuit amid the Alpine mountains and car chases in the bustling streets of Lisbon. Audiences also witness Gadot taking to the skies – initially paragliding off a snow-covered cliff, and subsequently engaging in daredevil skydiving.
“As she performs the risky feat, a Charter agent, enacted by Matthias Schweighöfer, admonishes, “Chance of success just plummeted.” Stone retorts with aplomb, “Only because you have no imagination,” and proceeds to deftly land on her target.
“Heart of Stone” begins streaming on August 11.
