Making Hindi serials misogynst is smart business because the women who watch these serials majorly come from homes with a single TV on the premises. They do not have the freedom of choice to watch what they want or the privacy as well.
Chances are that if the men in the house find the content of the serial too modern for the women of the house, they will just switch the channel.
For a country that objects to television content showing girls wearing skirts to school, how is the seemingly permissive content of men and women dancing and making out in Holi- sequences in inebriated state acceptable then?
Because, she is intoxicated, she is forgiven. In a country of repressed sexuality, a woman showing her desires in a situation where she is in her senses is too unbelievable. Women cannot be seen having agency.

Indian television serves content meant to drive misogyny. Social responsibility is the last thing on the minds of the writers, the producers or the channels.
It is escapism that is being provided. Probably at the cost of driving the women deeper into misogynistic cultures but this is what it is,
