THE BLUF– The movie is about a missing girl and what teenagers can do in modern times.
THE MEAT AND THE POTATOES–
A father and daughter are on their way to a dance camp when the daughter meets her best friend and due to some argument the daughter kills her by throwing her in the flowing river. The parents try to hide their daughters wrongdoing from the cops. But will they be successful in saving her?
IN THE ZONE-
Joey King plays the daughter Kayla who looks very beautiful and has acted very well especially in the scenes when she gets hysterical. Peter Sarsgaard plays the father who acts with his eyes and is very good in the emotional scenes. Mireille Enos plays the mother Rebecca and looks pale in the second half as she is completely haggered in trying to save her child. The cops played by Patti Kim and Nicholas Lea are decent.
FWAR–
The movie is an edge of the seat thriller with very interesting moments. The father daughter relationship is very well shown and the scenes of the helpless mother are very well written. I did not find any scene boring which I can recall and the best part was its 1 hr 35 min runtime.
WHAT WE LOVED– The daughter -parent camaraderie shown in the movie.
WHAT WE MISSED– A good background score.
