The funny One – Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne (Punjabi), Geetha Govindam (Telugu)

When romance meets comedy, it unleashes a riot of drama and laughter. Diljith Dosanjh and Sargun Mehta’s Punjabi movie, Babe Bhangra Paunde Ne captures just that with perfect comical timings and heartwarming drama. Similarly, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Geetha Govindam leaves you in splits at every turn.

The unrequited one – Qismat 2 (Punjabi)

Not all love stories end in happily ever after and even movies know that. Qismat 2, starring Sargun Mehta, brings one such tale of sorrow and heartbreak that reveals the pain of one-sided love.

The one with obstacles galore – Veetla Vishesham (Tamil), Verudu Kaavalaneu (Telugu), Pavitra Rishta 2.0 (Hindi)

The path of love is often filled with thorns. Be it in the form of disapproving parents or cultural and social issues or simply long distance. The obstacles exist but love prevails as is seen in heartwarming films like Tamil drama Veetla Vishesham and Telugu rom-com Verudu Kaavalaneu. Popular Hindi series Pavitra Rishta 2.0 too captures the unending woes of love and a couple’s resilience against them.

The one with the wrong timing – Kedarnath (Hindi)

Timing plays a crucial role in any relationship for even the strongest bonds can fall apart if fate does not approve it. Sara Ali Khan and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput bring one such story of an ill-fated love story with Kedarnath.

The one with accidental lovers – Bareilly Ki Barfi (Hindi), Pardes (Hindi), Qubool Hai 2.0 (Hindi/Urdu)

Not everyone is on the lookout for love yet they find one with destiny by their side. Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon starrer, Bareilly Ki Barfi and Shah Rukh Khan’s classic Pardes, depict how two unlikely souls can cross paths to become one. Similarly, popular Hindi/Urdu show, Qubool Hai 2.0 saw two uncanny lovers begin their journey with an adventure planned by destiny.

The one defying society – Sairat (Marathi), Mrs. & Mr. Shameem (Urdu)

Not all lovers find approval in society but that rarely deters them from finding their own happiness. Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar starrer Marathi hit, Sairat portrays just that as it shares a powerful message of love and hope. Pakistani series, Mrs. & Mr. Shameem too defies the conventions of society and gender to flourish in their own world.
