​If you have followed Hritik Roshan through the years, you know he is a good looking bloke with decent acting skills and amazing abdominal muscles. His muscles also come with earth shattering dancing abilities. So he is a certified hunk. Til 2019 happened.

We watched two Hritik movies this year: Super 30 and War. Let’s summarily talk about Super 30 (since we will review it in another post). The movie is a beautifully woven narrative of a man’s passion to educate and grow under privileged children. Hritik as the protagonist is not a star, he is the soul of the character. If you have to catch the brilliance of Hritik’s portrayal in Super 30, you have to watch his art in form.

Then there is War. Hritik is the core of a possible Bournesque franchise. Very desi, very sophisticated, salt and pepper, suave and brilliant in action sequences. He brings the James Bond to the Bourne and makes a desi export of Kabir – the invincible spy who presumably went rouge. He looks his sexy age and he looks better than he has ever looked. It seems he has arrived.

In terms of spy thrillers, War is technically most superior of them all. The story is engaging, fast paced, action sequences are brilliantly presented and Tiger Shroff meets the standard set for him. The new age thought of the “ghungroo song” is a rage.
