ZEE5 Global | From action-packed film Rashtra Kavach Om, to the original series Duranga, ZEE5 Global announces a thrilling roster for August.
Global, August 9th 2022: With August being the month of festivities, ZEE5 Global, the world’s largest platform for South Asian content, is all set to release an exciting line-up of the most awaited series and movies on its platform across genres like comedy, action and drama. Be it Aditya Roy Kapur’s action-packed film Rashtra Kavach Om, Neeru Bajwa’s groundbreaking, progressive drama Beautiful Billo, or Drashti Dhami starrerupcoming romantic thriller Duranga, ZEE5 Global is dishing out an eclectic mix of titles.
A love story gets told in three separate time frames in the series Duranga, which stars Gulshan Devaiah and Drashti Dhami. Sammit keeps up a façade of being the model spouse to his Inspector wife, Ira, while concealing a dark history. Twenty years after Bala’s suicide, Ira starts investigating a string of grisly copycat killings committed by a man who is thought to have been the serial killer’s companion. Produced by Goldie Behl and Shradha Singh, the series is an adaptation of its Korean counterpart- ‘The Flower Girl’, slated to launch on 19th August.
Taking the world by storm, Aditya Roy Kapur’s ‘Rashtra Kavach Om’ is set to release on 11th August 2022. Also starring Sanjana Sanghi and Jackie Shroff helmed by Kapil Verma and produced by Zee Studios and The Paper Doll Entertainment Production, the movie tells the story of a special forces Para commando on a journey to protect his nation while solving long-standing mysteries. This heart-pounding action thriller combines self-sacrifice with the bravery of a patriot who will go to any length to defend his nation.
On the same day, the dramedy film Beautiful Billo set in the United Kingdom and directed by Santosh Subhash Thite and Amrit Raj Chadha, will also air on ZEE5 Global. The film revolves around an emotional connection between a couple, played by Rubina Bajwa and Roshan Prince, and their tryst with a pregnant woman, played by Neeru Bajwa.
With ZEE5 Global introducing a slate of non-Hindi language titles for the year, August will see two such titles adding to the platform’s rich content library. ZEE5 Global’s original Telugu comedy-drama, Hello World,starring Niharika Konidela, revolves around the story of eight youngsters who step into a large IT company. They dream of leaving their daily life struggles behind, but life has a lot more in store for them than they imagined. Directed by Siva Sai Varadhan, the series will release on 12th August. The platform will also release a Kannada title, Window Seat in the coming month.
