Based on webcomic “Wanbyeokhan Gyeolhonui Jungseok” written by Young and Lee Beom-Bae & illustrated by Jerryball (published from July 14, 2021 via Naver).
Han Yi-Joo, portrayed by Jung Yoo-Min, is a talented painter who had been adopted by Han Jin-Woong and Lee Jung-Hye (Lee Min-Young). Despite her father’s prominent position in Hanwool Financial Group, Han Yi-Joo never experienced genuine love or affection from her parents or her younger sister, Han Yoo-Ra (Jin Ji-Hee).
She lived in isolation within her own family. Presently, Han Yi-Joo is married to Jung Se-Hyeok, but she discovers that her husband harbors feelings for her sister, Han Yoo-Ra, and not for her. At an event at her mother’s art gallery, her stepmother traps her into accepting blame for a crime she committed. She realizes that being too nice to her family out of her gratefulness is not working out for her and none of them really care about her. Instead she is the scapegoat of the family.
Tragically, on the same day, Han Yi-Joo is involved in a car accident and her stepmom pulls the plug of the life support system for her in the hospital. She dies.
However, when Han Yi-Joo awakens, she finds herself transported back in time to a period when she was engaged to Jung Se-Hyeok; exactly a year back.
Determined to alter her fate and seek retribution against her family, she decides to break off her engagement with Jung Se-Hyeok.
Instead, she approaches Seo Do-Kook (Sung Hoon), the man whom her younger sister, Han Yoo-Ra, desires to marry. Seo Do-Kook happens to be the grandson of the Taeja Group’s founder, possessing both intelligence and striking good looks. Han Yi-Joo proposes a contract marriage to Seo Do-Kook, and he willingly agrees, but as time unfolds, he desires to turn their contractual union into a genuine marriage.
