BOLLYWOOD MOVIES COMING TO SCREEN IN APRIL 2024

Entering April, various movie industries are gearing up to unveil a diverse array of films set for this month’s release. Audiences are buzzing with anticipation for titles like “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” “Maidaan,” “Amar Singh Chamkila,” “Family Star,” and “Mr and Mrs Maahi,” to name a few. With an intriguing array of movies on the horizon, we’re excited to present a captivating selection of films that promise to make April 2024 a memorable month for cinema enthusiasts.

 

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Akshay Kumar, facing a series of box office setbacks, is setting high expectations for this action-packed venture by Ali Abbas Zafar. Alongside Akshay, the film features Tiger Shroff and Prithviraj Sukumaran, with the latter taking on the role of the villain. The storyline follows Akshay and Tiger as elite soldiers on a thrilling quest to retrieve a hijacked AI weapon, showcasing a series of daring stunts. Under the production banner of Pooja Entertainment, in collaboration with AAZ Films, “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” is scheduled for an Eid release on April 10, featuring Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F in significant roles.

 

Maidaan

In this forthcoming cinematic endeavor, Ajay Devgn steps into the shoes of a football coach. Produced by Boney Kapoor, “Maidaan” celebrates the legacy of Syed Abdul Rahim, a figure instrumental in elevating India on the international football stage. The film’s trailer highlights Devgn’s character’s rigorous efforts to position Indian football prominently on the global map. It portrays his journey of assembling a team of young talents found in slums and guiding them to international acclaim. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the film stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh in pivotal roles. “Maidaan” is slated for a theatrical release on April 10.

 

Amar Singh Chamkila

Directed by Imtiaz Ali, this film is set for release on Netflix and delves into the life of the legendary Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila. Parineeti Chopra takes on the role of Amarjot, portraying the iconic figure’s life alongside Diljit Dosanjh, who embodies the lead character. The movie explores the highs and lows of Amar Singh Chamkila’s career as a celebrated singer in the 1980s until his tragic demise alongside his singer-wife Amarjot in 1988. “Amar Singh Chamkila” will begin streaming on Netflix on April 12.

 

Mr and Mrs Mahi

Starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao, “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi” is a sports drama set to hit the screens on April 19. Dharma Productions announced the updated release date on their official Instagram, captioning it with, “Two hearts chasing one dream & it’s just pitch-er perfect! The field is set for #MrAndMrsMahi, coming to cinemas on 19th April 2024.” This film signifies the second partnership between Janhvi and RajKummar following “Roohi” and is directed by Sharan Sharma.

 

Do Aur Do Pyaar

Featuring Vidya Balan and Ileana D’Cruz, “Do Aur Do Pyaar” is an eagerly awaited film. Applause Entertainment recently unveiled the official teaser on Instagram, offering a glimpse into the lives of two couples, portrayed by Vidya Balan-Sendhil Ramamurthy and Ileana D’Cruz-Pratik Gandhi. The teaser highlights the nuances of contemporary relationships, weaving together elements of romance, humor, and engaging narratives. The storyline follows the couples as they navigate their journeys to reignite the spark and joy in their marriages, from movie outings to vacations. Directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta, a celebrated ad filmmaker making her cinematic debut, “Do Aur Do Pyaar” is set for a theatrical release on April 19.

 

Love Sex aur Dhokha 2

The creators behind the forthcoming drama “Love Sex aur Dhokha 2” have released a captivating motion poster that delves deeper into the facets of love, both in the tangible world and the digital realm. Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and directed by Dibakar Banerjee, “LSD 2” is slated for a theatrical release on April 19.

 

Monkey Man

Dev Patel makes his directorial debut with “Monkey Man,” a film inspired by the mythological figure Lord Hanuman. Set against the backdrop of Mumbai, the story follows Dev’s character, Kid, who embarks on a mission of retribution against the corrupt forces responsible for his mother’s death and the ongoing oppression of the vulnerable. The cast includes Sobhita Dhulipala, Vipin Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar, Adithi Kalkunte, Sikandar Kher, Pitobash, Makarand Deshpande, and Sharlto Copley. “Monkey Man” is slated for a theatrical release on April 5.

 

Ruslaan

Set to energize action thriller enthusiasts, “Ruslaan” features Aayush Sharma and Sushrii Mishraa in pivotal roles. Directed by Karan L Butani, the film is gearing up for its theatrical release on April 26. Alongside Aayush, celebrated actor Jagapathi Babu also takes on a leading role, promising a riveting cinematic experience.
