RIHANNA RETURNS TO THE MIC FOR A DAY

This week, Rihanna headlined a private performance at the pre-wedding celebrations of Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s son, Anant Ambani, and his fiancée, Radhika Merchant.

The extravagant event, estimated to cost around $6 million for the concert alone, marks Rihanna’s latest high-profile appearance in the realm of private events (Ambani previously secured Beyoncé for his daughter’s wedding in 2018).

Despite Rihanna’s staggering net worth of $1.4 billion, her involvement in such events might be attributed to her business ventures, particularly her association with Fenty.

Ambani’s acquisition of Sephora India last year, coupled with Rihanna’s focus on her business endeavors over her music career in recent times, suggests that her performance at the event could be a strategic move to bolster her brand.

Rihanna treated attendees to a setlist of 19 songs, including hits like “Bitch Better Have My Money,” “Diamonds,” and “We Found Love,” marking her first full concert since 2016. However, despite the anticipation surrounding new music, Rihanna appears nonchalant about the prospect of returning to the music scene on a more permanent basis.
