Global, 25th January, 2023: After casting its magic at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards,
internationally acclaimed Telugu magnum opus, RRR scripts history with an Oscar nomination. Proving
yet again that South Asian content is on the fast track to becoming a worldwide phenomenon, the
movie’s Golden Globes winning song, Naatu Naatu, has now been nominated for Best Original Song at
the Academy Awards. The SS Rajamouli directorial, which features superstars Jr NTR and Ram Charan, is
currently streaming in Telugu, its original language, exclusively on ZEE5 Global.

The movie captures the heroic saga of Indian revolutionaries Alluri Sitaram Raju and Komaram Bheem’s
fight against the British Raj. It is available to stream across all South Indian languages – Telugu, Kannada,
Tamil and Malayalam with English subtitles on ZEE5 Global.
Titles available on the platform have had a tremendous run this award season, with RRR itself winning a
Golden Globes and three other international accolades. The Kashmir Files and Vikrant Rona were also
frontrunners in the Academy Award shortlist, contributing greatly in advancing South Asian voices on a
