The production house will premiere the second season of Rocket Boys, about Indian scientists Homi J. Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai played by Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh; Pippa, a historical war drama set during the Bangladesh Liberation War starring Ishaan Khatter and directed by Raja Krishna Menon; Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan? a comedy with Taapsee Pannu and Pratik Gandhi in the lead and co-produced by Junglee Pictures; Bas Karo Aunty, a comedy-drama directed by debutant director Abhishek Sinha
The titles, which include 26 films for theatrical release, a direct-to-digital film and a streaming series, are Zee Studios productions, coproductions or acquisitions.
The film marks Kashyap’s return to the romantic musical genre with composer Amit Trivedi, with whom he memorably teamed on “Dev.D” (2009).
The final BAFTA nominations will be announced on Jan. 19, in a live event and global livestream hosted by actors Hayley Attwell and Toheeb Jimoh. The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, Feb. 19, at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall — a shift from the awards’ usual home of Royal Albert Hall.
Along with Ortega, the cast of Season 1 included Gwendoline Christie, Jamie McShane, Percy Hynes White, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Naomi J. Ogawa, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Riki Lindhome, and Christina Ricci. Catherine Zeta-Jones also appeared as Morticia Addams alongside Luis Guzmán as Gomez and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley.
The final awards will be presented at a ceremony that relocates to Hong Kong, after being held for two years in Busan and was omitted entirely in 2022. The event will take place at the new Hong Kong Palace Museum on March 12, the evening before film and TV rights market FilMart makes its in-person return for the first time since 2019.
