Singles Inferno Is Back And Hotter Than Ever In Season 2

Summary

Back with a second season, Singles Inferno, is a South Korean dating / variety show following 9 contestants, 4 men and 5 women, on a deserted island (“inferno’) as they attempt to find love. In addition to finding love in “inferno”, the contestants stay in tents, retrieve their water from wells, and prepare their meals with limited ingredients. If both contestants select one another as their couple for the night, the pair can go to “heaven,” and experience a luxurious night in a swanky hotel with their fellow contestant. Contestants are unable to share their age and occupations with one another until they arrive at “heaven” with their partner.

In addition to having plenty of downtime to get to know one another, the contestants also participate in competitions, like human chicken fights and wrestling, where the winner can select specific contestants for “special dates”. With iced americanos and their love life on the line, the competition for these silly games gets fierce!

Thoughts

Although only 2 episodes are currently released, we were briefly introduced to all 9 contestants’ hobbies and their “types” when dating. Season 2 of Singles Inferno definitely delivers on the drama and tension we experienced with season 1. The show is filled with drama the moment the contestants are introduced. From strategically selecting where to sit and what to wear, every detail matters as contestants size each other up and decide if they are worth pursuing. Although some contestants seem a little ditzy, they are all attractive and charming in their own way and sparks are definitely flying between a few members!

Season 2 follows the previous season’s format where each contestant writes and delivers a letter to the individual they liked the most after the first night. The drama continues as the letters are delivered as a strong and favored candidate surprisingly does not receive a letter. The competition only gets more tense as the contestants reveal who they are the most interested in. The love interests seem to be a zig-zag since there aren’t many contestants who have mutual feelings for one another. They all keep barely missing one another as it appears that Contestant A likes Contestant B, but Contestant B likes Contestant C! The frustration…

However, this frustration continues to build and comes to fruition after the ending of episode 2. With a surprising turn of events and an unexpected pairing, only 2 couples leave “inferno”. Tune in for this Tuesday’s episode to see how the first 2 couples enjoy their night in “heaven”.
