Remember Bade Ache Lagte Hain? Even if you do not, the story is not a lot different than that of Karle Tu bhi Mohabbat.
The web version of the story seems to be a the same formula as its television one. The actors are the same and the plot is more or less similar.
A rich actor struggling with weight issues, alcoholism and a big ego meets a counselor/ doctor to de addict, sparks fly and they marry after some episodes of struggle.
Some events make the lady leave. She is pregnant while away, And when the husband meets her again, she has been a single mother. The couple fight and then make up. And so on.
The third season of Kar Le Tu Bhi Mohabbat has the in vogue #Metoo angle.
The dialogues, characters and the interaction between the characters played by Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar reminds one of the exact same experience of Bade Ache Lagte Hain.
The Season 3 ends with Karan, played by Ram Kapoor in prison for a murder and Tipsy, played by Sakshi resolving to help save him from a sentence.
Though the adaptation for the internet version is slicker; the story has nothing new to offer. If the idea was to revive the magic of a previously successful TV show, that magic may not have been recreated as expected.
Hey, we see an old comfort between the lead actors, a lack of story breathes heavily down the capable shoulders of the pair. We hope Season 4 has more meat on the narrative.
